Intervention
We facilitated a series of business workshops, equipping Shelley Christians with the tools to develop a comprehensive 3-year business plan. The sessions covered compliance, marketing, sales, financial management, and customer service — key pillars for a thriving business.
Results
This journey led Shelley to secure Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) funding, enabling her to lease premises, purchase a vehicle, and expand her services. The result was a more stable, self-sufficient business that now serves as an anchor for her community.
YV Essentials – From Struggling to Thriving
Facing inconsistent sales and limited market reach, YV Essentials needed clarity and direction. Focused support helped transform effort into results and momentum into growth.
Intervention
Yvette van Rensburg attended workshops designed to create a focused sales strategy. We worked alongside her to identify opportunities for growth and built a plan to scale her essential oils business.
Results
With our support, Yvette’s turnover increased from R8,000 to R12,000 per month. Her customer base grew from 12 to 130 clients, a testament to her dedication and resilience.
EasyMax – A Circular Economy Success Story
EasyMax sits at the intersection of enterprise development and environmental responsibility. Through strategic partnerships, the business was able to grow while actively contributing to waste reduction and reuse.
Intervention
By connecting Eric Coetzee with corporate clients ready to donate unused electronic equipment, we enabled him to scale his computer refurbishment business. This effort directly supported the circular economy while reducing landfill waste.
Results
With 2,000 donated computers, Eric hired three new employees, secured operational premises, and grew his turnover significantly — all while contributing to a greener planet.
Grow Box – Nurturing Growth in the Cape Flats
Operating within a challenging environment, Grow Box required practical support to turn potential into progress. This journey shows how access to skills and networks can unlock growth in community-based enterprises.
Intervention
Through hands-on capacity-building workshops, we helped Renshia Manual navigate the challenges of running a wholesale nursery on school premises in Hanover Park. By connecting her with key networks, we unlocked opportunities for growth and exposure.
Results
Today, Renshia not only grows and sells high-quality produce but also travels internationally to share her knowledge. She now trains schools and small-scale farmers, transforming her community one lesson at a time.
Green Cab – Pioneering Eco-Transportation
Green Cab’s journey reflects how innovation and sustainability can work hand in hand. Strategic planning and funding support enabled the business to evolve alongside the changing demands of greener transport solutions.
Intervention
We developed a business plan that secured R1.9 million in funding for LPG-powered vehicles. As Green Cab evolved, we facilitated their transition to electric vehicles by raising an additional R20 million in funding.
Results
Today, Green Cab is a leader in eco-transportation, reducing carbon emissions and inspiring change within the transport industry.
